Great budge friendly hotel. Rooms are small, and pet friendly ones are available if you have a dog. Older hotel, has TV, cable, internet, fridge, microwave, and 1cup coffee maker. Has window unit AC too! Soap, cups, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, shower mat, and clean towels! Pretty nice I would say! I list all of the items as I have been at higher priced hotels that did not have all these amenities!
Clean room, comfy beds, and very affordable. Only thing I had an issue with was no ice machine and you can hear your neighbours. Definitely recommend for an affordable place to stay.
When I woke up to start my car to pack up I realized that my battery was dead. I went to the office to ask the owner if he had booster cables. He met me outside right away with a battery and cables. He checked my battery levels after letting it run. I can’t thank him enough.
Stayed at the Modern for a night. In fairness it was literally the only motel that had vacancy. It didn't suck, though the motel room was slightly out dated. No coffee in room. That'd be my only complaint. Was clean and comfortable bed. Which was exactly what we needed. Hot water and clean towels. Perfect.
We stayed here overnight on our way back to Niagara Falls from Alberta. The rooms are very clean and cozy and the beds are very comfortable and even had 4 pillows to each bed. The shower was great with lots of water pressure. The wi-fi signal was also very strong. This morning our car wouldn't start as it's -32°C (Feels like -42°C). The owner gladly gave us an extension cord to plug in our block heater and even let us stay in the room past 11:00p.m. He was very professional and friendly and I would highly recommend this motel to anyone looking for an affordable room to stay in. Thank you Modern Motel for having made our stay that much more enjoyable and for helping us out in our time of need!
The manger is friendly. The price is good. The cleanness is acceptable. Free outdoor parking with camera. No breakfast. Overall good. With this price is not bad.
5 stars because the service was great. Rooms were very clean, but the condition they were in was a bit rough, but I would take a really clean old room rather than a dirty new room.
